There are few things we know for sure in this world. But here’s one thing I can always count on: with a little time, a bit of patience, and a dash of expert insight, you can create something beautiful right at home with your own two hands.
And that bit of knowledge continues to bring me — and my clients — joy and inspiration day after day.
I'm Heather, the heart and soul behind Life Garden Style.
I kicked off the new year in 2020 with big goals to create more freedom and flexibility for myself, to share more of my time and energy with my family…
and to pour myself into work that brings me joy and serves the world in a purposeful way.
Shortly after this wave of renewed sense of self and motivation to bring my dream to life AND amidst the start of the pandemic, I quit my job and decided to go all in on building Life Garden Style into the thriving business I knew it could be.
While we hunkered down, trying to balance homeschooling and work at home during those early months, I had the idea to create and sell pre-made flower pots on Instagram, delivered contact-free… and my audience loved it. With the excitement and buzz around this new offer, I officially launched Life Garden Style as a business that May and haven’t looked back.
Long before I sold a single cut flower bouquet from our backyard garden, my days were spent indoors, working on a computer and away from my newly growing family who I missed every day.
With a long history of training and experience in the world of landscaping and horticulture, I craved being able to wake up and immerse myself in this hands-on work where I could spend hours in nature’s beauty, nurturing and cultivating gardens for my clients and community.
2019 was the year I came to terms with this reality:
I wasn’t doing what I wanted to be doing or showing up as the person I desperately wanted to be.
Even while running my blog on the side, I knew I had so much more potential and so much more to give.
That realization, that breaking point is when everything changed.

I specialize in seasonal planting and landscape design services, along with fresh, locally grown flower bouquet subscriptions for clients in the Kansas City area.
